Blobfish, often crowned “The World’s Ugliest Animal,” don’t mind the title; they live at ocean depths where the pressure is literally intense – up to 120 times what we experience on the surface. At these depths, their famously blobby look actually gives them a bit of an edge, but out of the water, however, they deflate, revealing the squishy, frowny "face" that has made them internet icons.
Blobfish are the epitome of zero-effort living – with no muscles to speak of, they just float along, waiting for tasty morsels to come within biting distance.... or should we day, slurping distance, as they lack teeth as well!
